What happens after I register?

After the Maritime License Training school representative contacts you to confirm your registration, they will send you instructions, a class materials list and general course requirements.

If textbooks are required, you will be given the opportunity to purchase them yourself or buy them from us. If you buy them from us, you may receive the textbook early.

To confirm you will be attending the course, we will contact you again approximately two weeks before the class.

When do I need to pay and confirm for my course?

Registration confirmation can be made with a deposit. Payment in full is required at least 14 days prior to the start of the class. If we cannot contact you and we have not received payment or arrangements within two weeks prior to the start of class, you may lose your reservation.

How much of a deposit is required to place a reservation?

We require a minimum deposit of 20% or $50.00, whichever is greater. This is a non-refundable deposit

What happens if I need to re-schedule my class due to work or personal reasons?

If you need to re-schedule your class MORE than 14 days in advance of the class, 100% of your deposit is refundable or you may choose to reserve a space in another class or course. Future changes will result in an administrative fee of 10%.

If you need to re-schedule your class LESS than 14 days prior to the start of class, 90% of your deposit is refundable or you may choose to reserve a space in another class or course. However if you re-schedule within 24 hours prior to the start of class, you will forfeit 50% of your deposit. Please note that if you re-schedule and you have elected to purchase your own or purchase from us textbooks AND the textbook is changed, you will be responsible for purchasing the newer edition prior to the start of class.

What happens if I need to cancel my class?

If you need to cancel your class MORE than 14 days prior to the start of class, 80% of your deposit fees are refundable and 20% of your deposit fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you need to cancel your class LESS than 14 days prior to the start of class, 50% of your deposit fees are refundable and 50% are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you need to cancel your class LESS than 24 hours, 100% of your deposit is non-refundable.

What happens if the school cancels the class?

In the very rare event of the school canceling your class, 100% of your deposit is refundable and you also will be issued a non-transferable $250.00 coupon which may be applied to any of our courses.
